HUNTINGTON, Ind. (FDN) It’s easy to forget the toll that stress takes on our mental health, especially when we feel like we can’t slow down.

That’s why broadcast students put together a Forester Lecture and discussion panel about managing your mental wellness in college. Fort Wayne counselor at Positive Perceptions LLC, Kelsey Darmowchel, came to Huntington University to talk about stress and why it’s important to take care of yourself.

Resources were also given for students that didn’t know what was available to them. We have free counseling here at HU, which is an opportunity that can be rare to find after college.

After the lecture, a discussion panel made of HU staff and faculty answered questions about mental health and how stressful becoming an adult can be. People like Chynna Presley, Lauren Frischman, and Kelsey Herber (among others) were candid about their struggles and what resources students have available to them.

The lecture took place Thursday, Nov 11th, and was broadcasted live. You can still watch it at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EMN5d_B-hKk.
