HUNTINGTON, Ind. (FDN) The theater department is setting up for its major spring production – “The Importance of Being Earnest.”

New this semester, it’s free for students to attend.

It’s a Kardashian-style take on a class romantic comedy. Two men each pretend to be the elusive Ernest, but hilarity ensues when their fiancées find out they aren’t who they claim to be.

It’s all hands on deck as cast members practice their lines in preparation for next week’s performance.

The showings are February 24, 25, and 26 at 7:30 p.m., with an additional matinée at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 26.

“I am the dramaturge, hair and makeup designer, and wardrobe supervisor,” said HU student Skye Vadeboncoeur. “It is a classic production set in modern times, so it adds a little interesting twist and I encourage you to come see it.”

Tickets are available at the Huntington University box office in person or online.
