HUNTINGTON, Ind. (FDN)– In their first performance of the year, the Huntington University Theatre Company performed “The Birds.” The play is said to a completely different from every other show the HUTC has done years prior.

According to leaders with HUTC, “this spooky play tells the tale of how humans create relationships during the collapse of a society. Two strangers, Nat, played by senior Jordan Hersey, and Diane, played by junior Elizabeth Olson and senior Olivia Ranz, are forced into a house to escape a flock of attacking birds. Julia, played by juniors Eleni Hanson and Amanda Fielding, arrives with news from the outside world, creating trouble for Nat and Diane.”

Director and Associate Professor of Theatre Jay Duffer, believes that this will be the defining point for his team.

Ranz thinks this play is unlike any other because it will have everyone in the audience on the edge of their seat. In the hour and a half long show, HUTC takes you on a wild ride of emotions and screams until the end.

There are four shows remaining. Show dates are September 27th and 28th at 7:30 p.m. with a double feature on the 28th at 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $13 for general admission, $11 for students and seniors, $6 for children 13 and younger, $5 for HU students and $10 for HU faculty/staff.
