HUNTINGTON, Ind. (FDN) – Hoedown 2018 at Huntington University drew a large crowd of students and families alike.

For Freshmen, it is an exciting event to kick off the year while for seniors it’s an annual tradition to look forward to. Activities such as apple bobbing and square dancing were among crowd-pleasers. But there was one spot that drew the largest crowd; the mechanical bull ride.

“Definitely the bull riding,” said senior Adrianna Funderburger, “And watching everyone fall of the bull was really entertaining.”

HU students flocked to the attraction and created long lines. Snapchat and Instagram witnessed a bombardment of posts from the bull riding fails and falls.

Cheers and shouts of students echoed over the booming country music.  Students took selfies in their flannels posing with caramel apples. The celebration started with the cookout at 5:15 p.m. and lasted until 9 p.m.
