About us
Our mission at Forester Digital Network is to tangibly love and serve the campus and community through our words and actions, a mission that has been a motivation for Huntington University broadcasters since 1994. While times have changed over the past 20 years, the tradition of heartfelt truth-telling lives on in HU broadcast media majors.
Today, student-led teams strive to live out this mission through three broadcast platforms:
FDN News is a multi-award-winning student news program that covers the campus and community in Huntington. Students broadcast online through live newscasts and web stories.
FDN Sports is a multi-award-winning student team that broadcasts HU home athletic events live online. Students announce, direct, produce, run camera, and even operate instant replay to tell the story of each game.
Forester Radio WQHU is HU’s award-winning radio station that broadcasts over-the-air across Huntington County on 105.5 FM and worldwide on ForesterRadio.com. Students schedule 24 hours of programming a day, produce live radio shows, and interview interesting people on our popular podcast Rooted.
In the Forester Digital Network, students learn through practical application coupled with rigorous faculty oversight. If you have a question, comment, or request, contact Assistant Professor of Broadcast Media Adam Widener via email at fdn@huntington.edu.
